Privacy policy

Short version: our games collect no personal data, and this website uses no cookies.

The games

Apricot Garden Mahjong does not collect, send or sell any personal data. It has no account, no ads and no analytics.

The game saves a few things in a settings file on your own computer, so it can remember them between sessions:

  • your settings (difficulty, tile size, volume, window size and position)
  • your statistics, daily streak and best times
  • a game in progress, so you can continue it
  • a random four-letter player tag, used only to make your custom board codes different from other players’

None of this leaves your computer. Board codes and challenge results are only shared when you copy them and send them to someone yourself. Deleting the game’s settings file removes all of it.

Stores

When you buy or download our games on a store such as itch.io or Steam, that store handles your purchase and account under its own privacy policy. We receive sales reports from the store, not your personal details.

This website

The website sets no cookies and loads no advertising trackers or third-party fonts. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies or local storage and does not identify individual visitors; it records things like which page was viewed, the referring site, the country, and the browser and device type, and we only see them as totals.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the pages and to protect the site against abuse.

Email

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and we delete the conversation when it is no longer needed.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you and ask us to delete it. In practice we hold none, apart from emails you send us. Write to hello@apricotgarden.games.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
